Three personal narratives written by Goerger. "Trip to Costa Rica" (15 leaves) recounts a botanical collecting trip to Costa Rica and the Panama Canal Zone he took as an assistant to Dr. Carroll William Dodge in the summer of 1936, the summer before starting medical school. "Shorty" (6 leaves) describes Goerger's pet parrot. "The Story of Ducy" (12 leaves) describes the series of boats built and/or owned by Goerger, the Ducy I through Ducy VI.
